AISNA Graduates Online accetta l’invio di contributi per la pubblicazione in maniera spontanea e in risposta a periodiche Call for Papers.
Cosa pubblichiamo:
- Aggiornamenti su ricerche in corso e/o concluse di recente in diversi ambiti degli American Studies. In particolare, invitiamo contributi in ambito storico e letterario, dei cultural studies, screen studies, e visual arts;
- Recensioni di letteratura, saggistica, musica, film e serie tv riguardanti storia, cultura, contesto sociale ed economico nord americano;
- Recensioni di conferenze ed eventi in ambito americanistico;
- Approfondimenti di taglio storico per anniversari o ricorrenze storiche o culturali.
Linee guida per l’invio di contributi:
I contributi devono essere inviati all’indirizzo aisnagraduatesforum@gmail.com, in un unico file .doc // *.docx comprensivo di testo, bibliografia e descrizione del campo di studi dell’autore (massimo 300 battute spazi inclusi // graditi link a siti istituzionali o profili Academia.edu).
- Formattazione generale: Arial 10, interlinea singola, note a piè di pagina per le citazioni bibliografiche di pubblicazioni non online. Per i riferimenti a pubblicazioni online si prega di inserire nel testo un collegamento diretto con hyperlink senza aggiungere alcuna nota.
- Lunghezza dei contributi:
- Articoli: 4.000-6.000 battute (spazi inclusi)
- Recensioni: 4.000 battute (spazi inclusi)
La bibliografia è opzionale nelle recensioni, obbligatoria in tutti gli altri casi.
Si invitano gli autori a inviare insieme al testo, se disponibili, 3-5 immagini riferite al contributo e corredate di didascalia. Le immagini devono essere scattate dall’autore, libere da copyright o sotto licenza Creative Commons. Fonti consigliate: https://creativecommons.org , http://unsplash.com , http://nos.twnsnd.co, http://gratisography.com.
Si invitano gli autori a comporre i contributi in uno stile informativo ed accessibile anche ad un pubblico esterno a quello accademico.
I contributi non saranno sottoposti a peer-review, ma a un controllo editoriale da parte della redazione del blog, per correggere eventuali refusi e al fine di verificarne l’aderenza alla linea editoriale e garantire lo standard qualitativo delle pubblicazioni. Qualora la redazione dovesse sollevare delle contestazioni di merito, queste saranno tempestivamente sottoposte all’attenzione dell’autrice/autore via e-mail per consentirne la modifica o revisione.
La responsabilità del materiale pubblicato è esclusivamente dell’autrice/autore che firma il contributo.

HOW TO PUBLISH WITH US:
AISNA Graduates Online welcomes voluntary contributions and proposals in response to periodical Calls for Papers.
What we publish:
- Updates on ongoing/recently completed research projects in the realm of American Studies. We invite contributions in the fields of literature, history, cultural studies, screen studies, and visual arts.
- Reviews of North American cultural productions in forms as diverse as literary (fiction and non-fiction), music, film and TV series;
- Reports on events and conferences in the field of American Studies;
- Historical analyses of anniversaries or celebrations of American history and culture.
Guidelines for Submission:
All articles must be submitted to AISNA Graduates Online by email ( aisnagraduatesforum@gmail.com ). The Word file (.doc // .docx) should include a title, a work cited section and a short bio of the author (no more than 300 characters // we encourage including links to institutional or Academia.edu profiles).
- General formatting: Arial, Size 10, single spaced with footnote references to offline resources. For references to online publications, please include a hyperlink without footnotes.
- Length requirements:
- Articles: 4,000-6,000 characters (including spaces)
- Reviews: 4,000 characters (including spaces)
The Work Cited section is optional for reviews and reports, and mandatory for all other submissions. Submitters are invited to attach to their article 3 to 5 images, captioned. Photos must be taken by the author, free of copyright or subject to a Creative Commons license. Contributors are encouraged to craft their articles in an informative and accessible style, keeping in mind that the audience of the website is both from within and without the academia.
Contributions will not be subject to a peer-review process, but will be reviewed by the editorial board for potential typos and to ensure their conformity with AISNA Graduates Online’s editorial line and qualitative standards. The editorial board will notify the author via e-mail, should the article need be revised. The authors are fully responsible for the content of their contributions.
