Biography
Angela is a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham. She holds a PhD from the University of Napoli Federico II in Mind, Gender and Language: Language, Linguistics and ESP. Previously she studied for both her BA and MA at the University of Napoli “L’Orientale” graduating in Modern Languages and Literatures. Her academic interests include gender identities representation, Queer Linguistics, media discourses and AVT. She is currently involved in a project that aims at investigating narratives written by transgender people going through the process of transition. She is also among the founding editors of the journal, JAm It! (Journal of American Studies in Italy).
