The University of Lausanne, the French Vladimir Nabokov Society and the Jan Michalski Foundation are joining forces to organize the Sixth International Vladimir Nabokov Conference sponsored by the French Vladimir Nabokov Society. After the three conferences in Paris (2013, 2019, 2021), Biarritz (2016), Lille and Chapel Hill (2018), this conference will explore the rich relationship of Nabokov’s oeuvre to the natural world.

The aim of this conference is to study the general question of wellness and health, primarily in English-speaking countries, but it also welcomes comparative approaches in other countries or regions.
In the 1980s and 1990s scholars of Melville and Hawthorne were mostly interested in political readings of the two writers’ work, focusing on issues of race and gender. Without disregarding such issues, recent scholarly voices have been less engaged in tracing the hidden workings of ideology; rather, they have addressed broader themes such as history, subjectivity, or literary form.
This collection serves to extend current conversations of games studies beyond the existing, status quo of postmodern influenced discourses through offering an integrated, multiperspectival approach that emphasizes the production, consumption, and formal analysis of interactive digital games.
