Title(s): Ph.D. Student
Institutional Affiliations: The Graduate Center – CUNY (August 2017)
Leonardo Nolé is a Ph.D. student in Comparative Literature at the University of Torino, Italy. He is particularly interested in the contemporary challenges of the novel form that emerged into the American literary debate – his two dissertations focused on some innovative outcomes of the traditional Bildungsroman and on a hybrid and mostly ignored genre, the short story cycle. He is now studying how a new generation of young transcultural writers, from both sides of the Atlantic Sea, shape the novel form in English language, dealing with the present global concern for migrations and identity. Starting from August 2017, he will be a Ph.D. student in Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center – CUNY.
